THE TWEED FOUNDATION

Each year a sample of fish are netted and tagged in Berwick.  Some of these fish are re-caught by fishermen and this allows us to make an estimate of the angling exploitation rate. In 2004 80 salmon and 12 sea trout were tagged at Gardo on 15th, 16th and 17th September.
